Ilka Semmler (born 8 September 1985 in Aachen) is a German beach volleyball player. With her partner, Katrin Holtwick 2007 she won first place in the European rankings and became German champion in 2009.
Ilka Semmler began in 1995 with the volleyball in the hall at the "TC Kreuzau" in North Rhine-Westphalia Kreuzau. In 2000 she played her first volleyball tournament. From 2003 until August 2004, she formed a duo with Flemig Ruth, with whom she was the first year at the German Championship A Youth-fourth. 2004 Flemig / Semmler U20 European Championship in Koper. In September 2004, Semmler played with Sara Goller and took the 13th Place at the German Championship in Timmendorfer beach and finished fifth in the U21 World Championships in Madeira. From 2006, she played with Katrin Holtwick as a new partner. Holtwick / Semmler was the first year runner-up at the U23 European Championships in St. Poelten. They reached top positions in the smart beach tour with a tournament victory in Leipzig and occupied at the German Championships fourth place. Thanks to some good finishes in the European Tour and the tournament win in Moscow, the area occupied by Andreas Künkler, Christoph Dieckmann and Erik Helm (athletics) duo coached the 2007 first place in the European rankings. Dispense with the German championship Semmler had an injury to one entry. In 2008 the pair won the FIVB World Tour bronze medal in Klagenfurt and a silver medal in Mysłowice.
